She died April 22, 1826 two weeks after the birth of her third child Eliza Ann at Ft.Covington NY. He then married her sister Mary Jane Jones (born about 1805) in Romney on January 31, 1827. He served as a private in Capt. David Erwin’s and Capt. Asaph Perry’s co. of militia in 1813 and again in 1814. He and several others had avoided being captured at French’s Mills (ie Ft. Covington) He had been born in 1789 in New Hampshire and died at Ft.Covington on March 18, 1861 He and his wife were living with their son Hiram in 1860. His wife died November 1897. The family Bible recorded the following births: George S. April 22, 1818. married Mahalia _________ and had children Marion, William and Francis Joseph R. May 21, 1820. married Mary ________ and had children Stella and Carrie Eliza Ann April 8, 1822. died in 1880 and is buried at Ft. Covington Hiram N.
